How often are you posting to your social media?

In honor of social media day on June 30th, I wanted to highlight how critical it is to utilize social media.

Whether you have a personal brand, a business brand or you want to share your knowledge or expertise with your audiences, creating content is critical in engaging with your audiences so they learn about you, your brand, your mission and get to know, like and trust you.

Prospects want to see that value-add before pulling out their credit card or engaging with you.

The challenge I hear so often from entrepreneurs and business owners, is how do I create content AND run my business?

I have created the 7-step Content Creation Blueprint. It’s a hack that allows you to create content for the ENTIRE month in just a couple of hours.

7-step Content Creation Blueprint

One – pick a topic. choose your topic based on your ideal target market’s pain points and challenges. The easiest thing to do is answer one of the FAQs your audiences always asks

Two – create a long form video. This is where you would present the pain point and elaborate on it. Create a video that’s several minutes long. Make it short enough so it gets the message across but not too long so it’s too boring.

Three – strip out the audio from the long form video and create a podcast episode. Audio has been very popular lately because your audiences don’t have to engage with audio as much as with video. They can still listen to your audio while at the gym, walking the dog or washing dishes.

Four – Create a blog post out of the video. Use a platform such as Rev.com which is $1 per minute to transcribe your video. Once you transcribe your video, then you’ll have the basis for your blog post. Just edit it and viola! A blog post!

Five – create snippets for social media out of that blog post. So take out a few sentences, a paragraph out of your blog post, and post it to social media platforms. You can create 10 pieces of content right there.

Six – create quote images out of your quotes. You can use a platform such as Canva.com to create these types of images in just a few minutes. No graphic design experience necessary!

Seven – cut your long video into shorter 15-30 second pieces to post on Instagram. These are good teaser videos to engage with your audiences on Instagram Stories. Everyone loves IG stories now!

To stay organized, create a content calendar. Schedule everything for me ahead of time with a platform like Hootsuite or Buffer. That way you’re not getting bogged down with creating content and then having to schedule and having to put the content out there.

This is my 7 Step Content Creation Blueprint for the entire month done in just a couple of hours.

So how are you acknowledging social media day on June 30?
